In this section we will try and answer some of the
questions we keep being asked over and over again. Q. What is "The Jab Archives"? A. The Jab Archive's originally started by Cheetah back in 1995, was intended to consolidate the artist of the same name's works. After only a few short months, Other artists started to join up with the page, in the late 90's Jab the artist disappeared for a while, TJA kept his original parody and works up, but when he resurfaced, he needed to try and put up a pay site to help him survive the lack of work for animators, his site can be found at www.jabcomix.com . The Jab Archives is a page where we allow parody work and similar original artwork with out the fear of legal retribution. Q. Is or will The Jab Archives become a pay site. A. NO! Very early in the history of the page it's creator James La Bella, made perfectly clear the page would remain free for all to see, and up until 2001 the page had been hosted on servers provided to James for free . Unfortunately financial market, and recession have taken it's toll, but with the yearly portfolio's coming , the Jab Archives will remain free as long as it can raise enough money from them to pay the hosting costs each year. Q. Are the artists in the Galleries just links? A. No, Had this been yes, it wouldn't have been so hard to get this page back up and running if it where nothing more then a links portal. No, all the artists show as Members of the galleries work almost exclusively for TJA, Showing their artwork to all of you for free, and support the page by working on the portfolio's to help pay for hosting. Q. Can Anyone Join The Jab Archives A. Nope, The page in itself has always been a scout
oriented member system, someone with talent comes along, isn't well
known and needs and outlet for their work. Or someone established that
does parody work and needs a place to go. We're always taking applications,
and suggestions from fellow artists. Q. How can we donate to The Jab Archives , Can we donate to The Jab Archives? A. Well we normally try to raise money threw the
Store, under the thought of you get something back for the money
you've spent, but if you still want to help Q. Legal Issues? How do you deal with them? A. We try not to have any, we try to avoid them like the plague. Most of that information can be found on the index page Have more questions ? Let us know.
