Some two weeks ago it was Max Black Rabbits birthday and I said I’d paint him up a Birthday Fairy.  Well here she is.  Sorry she’s a bit late and I hope you like it. ^_^

I find that when I look through the newest art here or on other art sites… I get bummed.  Bummed not in the sense of “I can’t draw”, bummed in the sense of “what’s my style”?  Others seemed to have honed and refined their art skills.  Whether it’s in their painting, design or over all look of what they draw, it’s something that they own.  They’ve made decisions based on influences as to how they want to art.  Me?  I feel sort of lost most time.  Like I don’t know what my style is.

I’ve always drifted around following one artist or another, being in awe of their skills.  Pulling techniques out and mimicking to learn but never really deciding on how I want to draw.  I like so many styles that I find it hard to dedicate myself to just one and focus on it.

I feel like I’m sort of pulling a scam.  I can draw… but I feel lost and don’t know what I like in my own art.  I very much enjoy the art that I do, don’t get me wrong.  It’s just, out side of work when I can draw how I want, I just feel lost.

So I’ve made a new Chipette’s cross section picture.  Why?  Because I love doing them.  See, I love to take popular (or past popular characters and make them all hardcore and such.  There is an issue with The Chipmunks and Chipettes…  They seem a bit young and so I can’t post them on FA.  I do age them up a bit, but I prefer to keep them close to the original models.  Close to what people remember them to be.  Does this make them more loli then I should be making them?  Should I age them up more?  Do I go too far or is it cool with you because they’re just cartoons?  What’s your opinion on these characters?  Oh, and you can see the finished piece after the link.

Also, I want to maker sure that the gallery is working okay.  It works fine for me, but is anyone else having issues with the new gallery?  Is it working okay?

The last in the “Thank you” images I said I would do for those that helped me out when the blog got hacked.  Mmmm… I haven’t drawn these tow in a while.  ^_^
