Things I Didn’t Buy on Vacation

So while I was on vacation at Disney world I saw lots of things that I didn’t buy. Partly because I’m cheap, partly because I didn’t really see anything that I wanted to take home. You see, they don’t really market Tink stuff to guys so I really have to look to see if there is anything I really want to bring home. Usually I’m overly picky on looks, meaning the character can’t look off model. If they do I usually walk away. Not before I at least take a picture. These are some shirts that had some nicely draw Tinks. Especially, the one on the right. Pretty damn sexy. want to see other things I didn’t buy? Follow the link and see.

As odd as this might sound, I really like these dolls. I find them super cute and I love that they’re designed by some of the Disney animators. Not sure what I’d do with one if I owned her though.

I found this pretty glass Tinkerbell at the German pavilion at EPCOT.

This one comes with a jar of pixie dust.

I almost bought this mug, but decided against it because… I already own a Tinkerbell mug.  I really like the drawing of her on this though.

This time I found that the Tinkerbell drawings really had a beefed up level of sexy. Another drawing of her that I really like.

Not bad… not bad. These drawings are done on animation paper by Disney artists right in the shops. I have animation paper at home so I should try making my own.

There is something off about this one. Makes me think that I might have a chance getting my art in the shops… maybe?

Tink looks a bit off in this one too, but I really like it. Another thing that I almost bought but didn’t. I just didn’t know what we would do with this during the holidays and I didn’t like the idea of packing it away for the year either. Sigh…

Another mug with Tink’s mug. Again, looks a bit off to me.

This was a mini backpack. Not really my thing. I can only imagine what awaits me in Neverland.

Ugh… this one looks way off. Cute pose, but someone needs to properly approve these drawings.

This drawing is cute, but the eyes really get me. They just don’t look right to me. Am I being overly critical?

Abstract, deconstructed Tink? I actually kind of like this one.

I almost bought this one but passed in the end. I thought her face was a little long and looked odd. I might have to reconsider this one through because she does seem cute in this pose.

Jim Shore’s statues are usually my favorite. But I can get these back home in Canada so I was just happy to look at them.

Giant Tinkerbell eraser anyone?

I just laughed at this one. She looks super pissed. ^_^

This was the only Tinkerbell merch that I bought. It’s a pin, and once it was mine I wore it for the rest of the trip. I really do wish there was more pin-up Tink marketed towards guys. I think they would do well with it, but I wonder if they shy away from making her a sexual object. Better to push sexual attitude I guess. Maybe next time I’ll see something that needs to come home with me.

To be honest im really surprised that there are no high quality figures of Tink.
Even those “high value” rare collectibles dont look that great.

It kind of felt the same way. We might just be more picky about these items then the regular park goer. It really makes me wonder if I could pull off a sculpt. I’d love to try one day.

Ah man, I absolutely understand being picky about a character’s face. It seems to be a common trait among people who have a taste for cute things. And you’re right, a lot of those depictions do seem a bit… off.

Wow super awesome Vaca, one day you let me come down and at least take you all out to dinner…

    Super cute tink stuff.
