Nani

A requester this past month asked for Nani, Lilo’s sister from Lilo and Stitch. I’ve never drawn her before and I was quite happy to do so. See, I’m a big Chris Sanders fan. I’ve got all the sketch books he put out and the Nimue mermaid statue too. I think I did alright with her. I’m happy with the final result. ^_^

If you dig this, then you might be interested in supporting me at my Patreon where you can see my rough drawings, sketches and be involved in what drawings will come next. Thanks!

**please note that you can skip to the end, and that most of this is put forth as a joke**

Somewhat random thought (though, thoroughly inspired by this post)…

When did people first start wearing clothes? I’d gather the reason was protective–either from environment or adversary. But given our adaptive nature, it would seem like clothes could be somewhat of a hinderance for anyone in the environment in which their ancestors thrived.

I’m sure there are thoughtful and well-evidenced treatises on the subject, but I’ve not the time to look them up (gots my own sh#t to do!). Moreover, this line of thought isn’t in line with what caused it–namely, that I lament the fact that people need to wear clothes, in almost every situation, based on a normative code.

Meh, I’ll shut-up, and just appreciate the cute nude chick you’ve provided. She’s great, particularly given her willingness to surf naked.

I’ve actually wondered that too. At some point we decided to put on clothing as we know it for protection. From the elements and battle possibly. I would assume covering up for reasons of shame came later.

By the by, the wife and I will visiting your lovely country this weekend. Any particular snacks you’d recommend picking up while we’re there?

        • Joe Randel Says:

Canadian snacks? Well, do I have a list for you. The snacks I’ll mention will be found in Ontario. If your going else where, things might be a bit different.

          – ketchup chips
          – all dressed chips
          – hickory sticks (chip section)
          – butter tarts
          – coffee crisp chocolate bar
          – crispy crunch chocolate bar
          – aero chocolate bar
          – eat more chocolate bar
          – big Turk chocolate bar
          – smarties candy
          – caramilk chocolate bar
          – crunchie chocolate bar
          – wunderbar chocolate bar
          – maple cream cookies
          – cream soda crush (soft drink)

That should be a good list of things to try and snack on while on a visit to our great country. Have a good time and drive safe, eh. ^_^
