Two big additions to The Site: a new Forum and artist Polls

We've just rolled out two features we've wanted for a long time.

🗣️ The Forum is back — rebuilt from scratch, under one unified login

The old forum has been retired, and there's now a brand new one built directly into the site. The big difference: no separate account and no second login. It uses the TJA profile you already have — same username, same avatar, same display name. Just click Forum and start posting.

Discussion is organised into areas and sub-areas — Community, Artwork, and Site — so conversations stay easy to find instead of piling into one big list. Posts support proper formatting: bold, italics, quotes, spoiler tags, links and images, the same system our Library writers already use.

All the older threads are still around. The previous forum is preserved as a read-only archive, so nothing has been lost and old links still work.

📊 Polls — artists can ask their followers what to make next

Artists can now run polls, and they're genuinely flexible. Set up to ten options and choose how it runs:

• Let people pick one option, or several

• Open it to your followers only, or any logged-in member

• Show results immediately, after someone votes, or only once the poll closes

• Let voters change their mind, or lock answers in

• Add a closing date, or close it yourself whenever you want

Your poll shows up on your profile, at the top of your gallery, and on the new Polls page — and your followers get a notification the moment it opens. Artists can see who voted for what, and voters are told that clearly before they vote.

If you're an artist, you'll find it under Manage Gallery → Polls.

Let me touch on a few Small things, the "next" and "previous" had been bothering me since Previous was taking you to newer and Next was taking you to Older, that has now be reversed and fixed, but it should effect any of your sort selections.   A few other small fixes, as well as quite a few new artists added to the page! • EPUB downloads — take any story with you on a Kindle or e-reader with one click

For Writers

• Flexible chapter types — write directly in a dual-mode editor (WYSIWYG or BBCode), import from Word (.docx), or upload a PDF — PDFs are automatically converted into fully editable text, images and all, so you can tweak formatting before publishing
• Rich formatting tools — inline images, custom title images per chapter (small/medium/full-bleed), author's notes before or after a chapter, content warnings, and more
• Chapter management — drag-and-drop reordering, chapter splitting, draft/published states
