Sorry for the lack of posts as of late. I’ve been pretty busy with extra work and such which has been taking up most of my extra time. I enjoy taking on projects for extra cash if it gets me to Disney again sooner. ^_^ I think I currently have three extra projects on the go. That means more late nights then I’d care for, but it’ll be worth it. In the mean time, I’ll have to survive with some free time face doodles. I did these up recently and thought I’d share them. Laters. ^_^
During my usual travels around the internet I came across a rather amusing discovery. It seems that a strawberry pastry in Japan is getting some internet attention for looking like… umm… well… like a vagina.
Every now and again I get on a Muppet kick, and when I get on a Muppet kick I read the Muppet Wiki and watch my favorite clips on You Tube. What got me started this time was the above clip. I remember watching this one as a kid and loving it! I’m sure we can all agree that Sesame Street was fantastic back in the day. What were some of your favorite clips? I really like the parody letter songs like “Letter B” and “Rebel L”. And who can forget Grover as the waiter or the Yip Yip aliens?! I think I enjoy these clips more as an adult then I did as a kid. ^_^
So I’ll be away from the blog for a time. Just over a week or so. Try not to miss me too much. I don’t actually take big vacations often. The last time I did was 2 years ago when we where first at Disney World and before that… I couldn’t tell ya. So it’s a pretty big deal for us to go on a vacation. Usually it’s just camping trips during the summer. Even when I was a kid, I never went on long family vacations. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I can’t wait to eat all the fantastic food they have there, but I’m still nervous about flying. I’ll for sure be playing my 3DS during the flight to help take my mind off… the flight.
If I don’t make it back, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to deliver the Tinkerbell folio. But trust me… I was going to be sweet. ^_^
As we prepare for our Disney trip, we taken to watching some Disney movies. This week we watched one of my favorites, Aladdin. It’s such a fun movie, but I had forgotten some of the sexier parts of the film. There’s this part when Genie is doing his first song and dance number and he creates these three belly dancers out of fire.
I mean… dang… that’s pretty hot. I just love they’re exaggerated hips. Super cute.
What are some songs that you just never get tired of no matter how many times you hear them? I listen to music while I work some times and it dawned on me that I’ve listened to some of these songs for 20 years! One of those songs is Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz. I still remember rocking out this in high school. Another is God Gave Me Everything I Want by Mic Jagger. I discovered this one in the early 2000’s but I totally fell in love with the song. Ironically, this one also has Lenny Kravitz in it.
There more the few that I could list off next, but this one is my favorite of all time. It’s the Barenaked Ladies cover of Lovers In A Dangerous Time. No matter how many times I listen to this one, I just end up loving it more. I remember staying up all night long at a friend’s house and watched a Much Music special on the BNL back in the early 90’s. To me, at that time in my life, it was just perfect. No Lenny in this one though… I’m fine with that. ^_^
