When a freind first linked me to the Optimus keyboard a long since burried NERD GENE sprang out of my brain... How in the hell can you beat this thing? It's evil... I want one... those of you who havn't read about, EVEN if your not a computer person, you need to see this..

I've never heard of the Optimus keyboard before, but I would have to agree w/dfn55, I would LOVE to have one of those for my computer.

I'm currently typing this on my very own Das Keyboard. Bought for the sole reason so that Meddling Office Types would stop messing with my work... And then when I left that job, I took it with me.

Wouldn't it get a bit confusing without any letters/numbers listed on the keys?

i'd prefer the standard one. I once put a guitar neck on a keyboard, and wailed on it for stepmania. that was the day after my camera borke though...

I've got a Navigator for the simple fact that my standard was going out and it was free.

While I don't bother much with the doodads and extras in most Navigator-style boards, the l33t-n3Rd in me is going "w00t" at the Optimus. Hopefully when it comes out, it'll be at an affordable price.

I really, really hate my Navigator keyboard.
mainly because of the possitions of the arrows and the buttons Home,End,Insert etc.
soon i will buy myself a standart keyboard.
btw i haven't used the extra navigation buttons for months. they are completely useless if you already have the habit of starting your browser from the icon.

Optimus looks cool, I suppose... But oddly, after all these years, I still can't use a keyboard without looking down and so do most things mouse-wise.

My choice isn't really in the list. The ergonomically correct one. You know:

Hm. Is that a Dvorak key arrangement, or can I just not see the key markings clearly enough?

(Never actually seen a dvorak key arrangement, but I have heard of them, and one of my translators on a firefox extension I have translates it to what would have been entered if the same key order (by placement) was typed on a Dvorak keyboard (Well, I guess that, anyway :P ))

Seriously though.. Optimus ftw. That is the epitomy of usefulness.
Especially, as a concept, on games that use a lot of hotkeys (I'm thinking like Empire Earth as an example.), instead of having to know them there could be a small picture that makes sense as to what the key does ingame.
