  • Wiccan: Religion, Cult, or Interesting Pastime

I know religious topics arent allowed, but I just want some feedback on what people think of wiccans.

I am into wicca, not completely but still, and I find it interesting and many of their beliefs are things that I think everyone should believe, but Im not trying to sway or force anyone I just want to know what the general populous thinks of us.

(the main reason I started this thread is I heard someone refer to wiccans as Devil-Worshippers. And I find that funny because 9/10 wiccans dont even believe in the devil.)

(once again this is not a matter of belief its a matter of opinion. What do you think of Wicca?)

*Scene where Arthur finds Sir Galahad in Monty Python's Holy Grail pops to mind*

      - "...woa, she turned me into a NEWT!"
      - "A newt!?"
      - "......... I got better......"

      ...that's pretty much my contribution.

The only things I know about Wiccaans and things I picked up from Buffy the Vampire Slayer... so....

They start out as geeky/cute highschool chicks
        They turn gay in college
They become addicted to magic like a drug
They try and destroy the world because they can't deal with death, but is talked out of it by talking about yellow crayons and loving friends!
Then they make bad relationship choices by starting another lesbian relationship with a 16 year old wannabe slayer who is just totally wrong for her.

heh, she should stayed with the werewolf, they were awesome together.

        What was the question?
        Oh yeah Wicca....

Well since it IS a religion, I'll have to vote for that.

          Heh, true...

There's good and weird to Wiccan beliefs.
          I.E.
          The Good!
One of the biggest rules for Wiccans is the three-fold rule, It says that if someone does something bad to someone else the gods will pay them back three-fold.
It also says that you should never strive for revenge because that would just turn the 3-fold on you also.
Also this means true believers in Wicca strive to help others so as to gain from the 3-fold rule
          The Weird:
There is a ritual complete with chant and runes and such that is ment for asking the gods to pay someone back, in accordance to the three fold rule, sooner than they have originally planned.

Coming from a background of witch-doctors(which means nothing to this thread so nevermind) I'm locking this thread, since Wicca IS seen as a religion and therefore this is a religious discussion which is THEREFORE not allowed on thsi forum.

And Gods? Come one.. the Goddess at most, and even then it's pushing it. Go back to reading your DnD sourcebook....

(and Jive: Squeeee, I love Seth Green. XD)
