Well, basically I mean what you already pointed out: if push comes to shove, any exclusive materials can be forwarded to your patrons through e-mail. Apart from that? I don't think many people will discover a new hentai artist on Patreon's site itself. I think all of your patrons or fans in general already follow you on another site (like this one) and can simply find your non-exclusive stuff their. That's the reason I only post these little censored prevews on my own Patron, because, since Patreon is not a NSFW site per se, I want to take as little risk as possible.

Right now, i am re-considering my options, since i heard something about them (patreon) flipping again on the whole fanart thing.

If anything if we get a concrete answer, and fanart can STILL be allowed (while letting people know is just that, fanart), i think i may give it a second chance.

Since you and others who followed me got the 2 mails i sent them, my intention wasn't trying to scared them or something, just had to be honest about how i felt and the situation i was looking at.

And to being perfectly honest madoc, i am not quite in the note of what you mean by using patreon as a pay out system and communication/advertisement tool for my supporters, i guess i could have the system for commission discounts which is one of my rewards anyways, and technically, in the beginning, i was not delivering my art trough the site's host and sytem anyways, i was sending them the files on e-mail, but i switch to posting links once i found Sketch Pixiv and it's private option, so i could ease send them multiple files over.

This give me an idea tough...

I think i made this remark before, but it's best not to use Patreon's site as a gallery, but simply as a pay out system and a communication/advertisement tool towards your supporters. It's not really necessary to deliver your art to your supporters through the site itself in most cases.

Pepipopo, think of it this way:

For months, many various artists were working long and hard for Patreon's advertizement purposes, adding links to their website in their every post, "branding" their drawings with Patreon watermarks, reminding their viewers about Patreon existense again and again, asking people to go to their website and register there. That's a work worth millions of $$$.

Did Patreon ever pay a single $ to any of them? Nope.

The whole scheme was basically a robbery and a slavery, and if new rules will force some artists to quit Patreon, who knows, that might actually free them.

I don't know if Patreon "supporters" (i.e. donations) were giving such a big money to artists. Probably not. But Patreon was definitely underpaying people for the whole advertizement job they have done.

I wish you best luck with your art, hopefully you'll earn much bigger amount of money doing good old commissions rather than working for that site.

Oh boy do i have a story to tell you.

Long story short, but not any less painful, i am afraid i am gonna have to leave Patreon after the 1st of Nov, cause the site is, well, not goin in a good direction.

You can read this from one of the Posts from Incog.

"Apparently this is all true. I was finally able to confirm it at: https://www.patreon.com/legal

Under the creator section there is an explicit comment stating that creators may not : "Create content or rewards using intellectual property you do not own or do not have written permission to use."

Since this specifies both "content" and "rewards" it applies to anything funded by and/or posted on Patreon. This is going to be damaging to pretty much any 34 artists on Patreon. I guess we'll all have to make our own OCs or drop out of Patreon. Hopefully I'll have my own site by then but if not what does everyone think would be the best thing to do with Patreon?"

Beautiful addition to the gallery, Pepipopo. There are only 3 thumbnails visible in your previous post, but there's actually 4 drawings (I didn't notice that at first), and I loved the fourth, "firemaker" one the most. So unusual, such dynamic and vivid moment and pose, lovely work. Others are great too, like Trace.Reading said, that round butt looks superb.

Penny looks nice too, although a bit, ahem, cropped. I hope full version will be available for everyone someday, not only for the "patreon caste".
