Hi there people...
... it has been longer than usual without a pic from me and there's a reason. Cheo is one of the millions who got clobbered in the Summer of Natural Disasters of 2017. I have experienced displacement and material losses but fortunately not as bad as many others, and all family are accounted for. Still it has meant that there has not been time or at some points even means to create or process art.

As the recovery progresses I will seek to come back with new stuff but who knows... meanwhile, let's have a look at the past and a sketch I produced some 15 years ago...

Well, well...
It just so happens this week was the 50th anniversary of the release of the original Serling/Schaffner/Heston/McDowell/Hunter Planet of the Apes film. And it also just so happens that in my back catalog I have a piece drectly referential to that movie. So with apologies to the late, great Charlton for genderbending the character of Taylor, I repost this small tribute to one of his Classic lines in the script...

Hello fellas, here I am again... after a long, LONG interruption in output by force majeure causes, as described in the post from 19 November.

The displacement was more prolonged than expected and as you may imagine the "return to normal" has happened under circumstances that can never be the same.

In the course of the events, sadly, most of the physical originals/sketches/drafts of Cheo's past internet toonporn that I still retained were lost. You may imagine this was somewhat demoralizing, even after getting settled back down, it was tough to get re-started. You know I was already sort of semi-retired only coming back for special ocassions, so when faced with this it was tempting to say, "well, sign that it's time to hang it up and walk away, I guess". But after I while I realized I really missed it.

Today at long last, I return to posting new originals, as part of an effort to bring into my "New Normal" part of what used to be a big source of enjoyment. Like I said, it's unlikely things will really be as they were before, but it's time to get going anew.

So let the return begin with some heavy notions, so to speak, now that we are in Finals Week in many schools... created in the spirit of coexistence, but you know someone is gonna take it the wrong way, ain't that always what happens...
