Hey all, i'm sort of new and hoped for some help...

I'm not that great of a drawer, so i decided to take up a little coloring...and this was my first piece completed ever:

i was told that this site had a bunch of good artists and that they can offer some sort of advice big or small...

i know shes like the kool-aid lady...weird color and all...but i can really use a hand and some advice...so...if anyone can...please do!

    thanks!

Greetings and welcome to the boards!

Unless I'm wholly mistaken, this is digital, correct?

Now I'm only familiar with Photoshop, so if you use something else, I may not be able to help, but make your linework one layer and set it's layer mode to "Multiply" (in the menu at the top of the layer window) and now make new layers underneath it for color.

anything you color on these new layer(s) will not occlude the lines so you can color twice as fast and not worry about butchering your linework.

that's a good starting place, if you need more in-depth critiques and such, come back again!
