I think my 2 favourite toilet-gender signs are the old fashioned smoking pipe and a high-heel.... but I like to think of it as pipes for bubbles and high-heels for drag queens.: 3

one way i view the sign thing is women being bells (belle is like Belgian for woman, and a bell looks like a long skirt dress) so that naturally means cog is male (also makes sense, gearheads, fixers etc) so yeah
