Becky contest picture

Well since we missed the deadline for the art contest I figured I might as well show it here. Kahlua sketched up this fine picture several weeks ago as a rough draft that was put up at Fchan as well as here, this is the final version of that sketch. Spent some 4 hours in Photoshop coloring this, on top of the hour or so Kahlua spent drawing it. Well hope you like it. Guess We’ll have to make it into the next contest

Actually.. WOW i was tring for the same thing... how much referance do you have to the city? atoll layout? or did you guys just spend alot of time going over tale spin episodes.. I mean you even got the gateway to the docks spot on. The city is a dead ringer to ..looks like it's right off the show..although nothing from the show was ever colored as well..

*sigh* GOD!!! i wish i could color....

but now, back on track: yeah, realy nice coloring.. its my fav in the contest

just one thing... wasn't the city only on the other side of the mountain entrance
(its a very long time since I saw the show so I may-be wrong:P)

Bussaca, Thanks for the complements. Kahlua said he just sketched Rebecca using the reference sheets that were provided for the contest. Everything else in the picture
Was done free form with out reference. I used to watch the show along time ago and remembered the end credits had this cool shot of the city and bay during sunset, I just used my memories of that as the basis for the background.

Well, ya totally deserve the praise, your colors are phenomenal, I just might take ya up on that offer lol and I'm stoked you like my work, thank you.

I see the image is here now (nice and big too... bonus!) I think the reason I didn't see it before, was that I couldn't sign in lol (the probs fixed now though).
