Yoshinori Yamagishi is a producer for SquareEnix. For their Star Ocean series to be specific, but he has a secret. He wants to make naughty video games. He actually said so an interview for game site Gpara. He told them…
“Personally, I want to make erotic games… Really. I quietly said to the previous company president “I’d like to make erotic games” to which he retorted loudly, ‘NO!'”
I think that’s it pretty big of him to come out and say such a thing. I mean, everyone knows this now. I can bet though that after this announcement he’s probably had offers to produce at least a couple. I have to admit that I too would love to make adult games… but that’s not much of a shock to people now is it. I guess for now I’ll have to be happy just playing naughty games. Maybe someday Yoshinori Yamagishi and I will have our dreams come true.
I’ve been playing this little indie called Splunky a lot recently. It’s pretty simple to grasp, you hunt for treasure in caves, but it’s really hard. Really… hard. Your character only get’s 4 hit points (and 4 ropes and 4 bombs) and there are lots ways to lose them. Level traps, falling too far, enemies, spikes, HUGE spiders, etc… etc… I’ve only ever made it to level 5. Even with all this thrown at me, I still love it. Did I mention the levels are randomly generated? Yeah… that’s the best part. The game is different every time you play.
Who loves Mega Man? I do, but I think this guy loves him more.
One MegaPhilX has gone and made a fan version of what Mega Man 10 could look like, or at least look like to him. He’s even gone so far and made an opening sequence, stage select and one whole level. I’m assuming this is just a hack of a previous Mega Man title but it’s still pretty impressive.
I like making fan pictures, but to be honest, I don’t have the pull though to do a project quite like this. I’d be all “YEAH!” in my head but would get board pretty quickly. Anyone out there do any huge fan projects on their favorite game/anime/show or whatever?
Looks like the DSi has a (rumored) release date. It should touch down in North America on April 4th at $179. So if you’re interested in it… get in line. I’m still on the fence on it really. I guess the deciding fact will be if I have a job or not.
I think I mentioned in a previous post that my brother in law and family got Wii fit for Christmas. They’ve been staying with us for a while (and will be moving in too due to bad economic times) so I’ve gotten a pretty good chance to try it out. My verdict? It’s pretty damn fun. ^_^
People say it gimmicky and others say that you really don’t loose weight by doing the games but I say who cares? The little games are as fun as heck to play and the yoga and strength training exercises give you a good feeling of accomplishment when you play them. I actually did find that I was losing weight after a few days of play. So just like any real fitness training if you put in the time, you’ll see results. It’s not super intense, but it is fun to play. As for what I think about the balance board, I love games that make me play differently then I normally do. It sort of kicks you down a notch from where your skills normally are and you have to learn how to play games again… sort of.
So yeah, Wii Fit totally gets my thumbs up. b ^_^ d I’d recommend it to anyone.
