So yesterday we saw that censorship in Japan sucks (which makes me wonder how some of the uncensored art actually gets out) but one thing that does rock about Japan is that they understand fan service and aren’t shy about it.
Take this for example.
It’s an official licensed hot and sexy art book featuring Mai from KoF. Yup, that’s right… fully licensed. That means at some point, at SNK tower, someone suggested a hot and sexy art book featuring some of their female IP should be made for the masses, and everyone agreed. The book was drawn by artist Mahiru Izumi. Oh… and this isn’t the first book like this ether. Iroha from Samurai Showdown has her own book too.
How awesome is that? Official sexiness right from the source.
Actually, it’s my understanding that just about anyone can produce a naughty book/CD featuring popular characters and no body gets yelled at in Japan. Where here in North America, if someone from the legal dept of studio X saw my Chipettes pictures… I’m sure I’d get dragged around the mud or at least have a “take this down right now” letter come though my in box.
Let’s home that doesn’t happen. ^_^

So it would seem that an Eroge game in Japan was released recently and… oops, someone forgot to censor some of the images. The game is called Volume 7 was released on the 24th of October and actually had to be recalled because someone fell asleep at the wheel.
It gets you thinking about the censor ship that Japan has on it’s adult material. It must be the most annoying thing in the world to have your government decided that genitalia (male and female) should not be viewed buy it’s citizens. Especially when you consider the amount (and variety) of porn that Japan produces. I mean, I love Japan and all but I don’t think anyone could take my uncensored porn away from me. >_<
Anyway, if anything, this screw up lets us see what is actually behind the mosaic and some times it’s naughty bits that are only half done. Which makes sense, why put full effort in to something that’s only going to get blurred anyway. That would totally suck.
So yeah… Yay for us and for being able to look at wangs and clefts. Yes… yay for wangs and clefts. ^_^

I actually picked up Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door again last week after a year of not playing it. I’m now pretty close to the end of it. I will finish my lists… one day…

So the DS has games where you can touch witch’s boobs, learn English with sexy anime chicks, shoot milk on to a strawberry a cute anime chick is holding and raise a cute loli bear girl. What else is there?
How about bum spanking some dog-girl? Yup… you read that right. A new DS game called KimokawaE has you working with some cute animal girls from the underworld so they can live properly on earth. Example? Okay, well in once case you must discipline a dog girl because she like to pee on poles. Naughty, naughty dog girl. I’ve read there is even a bathing mini game to get them use to baths. HOT!
So yeah… quite possibly the strangest DS game yet. Oh, and what’s the point/story behind the game?
Who cares. ^_^

I saw this question over on Kotaku and I thought it was great and wanted to post it here. ^_^
What’s the worst game gift (or game related gift) you’ve ever got?
I’ve made it a habit to make sure that if someone is planning on getting me a game gift they have names of quality games. So often people that don’t play games have no clue on what to buy and so they just go with the box art… bad, bad, bad. My step brother suffered this fate every birthday and Christmas with his GameBoy until I broke down and bought him Ninja Gaiden for GB.
As for me. The worst would have to be Dick Tracey for NES that my Mom bought me. Although it was a used game so at least she wasn’t paying full price for it and I learned to love it. Oh, I also got Qix got GameBoy too one Christmas. Not really bad, but not great either. Gals Panic has it way over Qix I tell ya ^_^

Have you heard? I’m sure you have since the news is about a week old but… Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari) is coming to WiiWare. If you don’t know what Cave Story is, it’s and indie game made by one guy that calls himself PIXEL. It took him 5 years to make and easily is the best indie game out there. No kidding. It seriously puts a lot of developed for money buy big studio games to shame in terms of charm and story. It’s a really epic game too and, I would have to say, my favorite indie game.
The game is out there for free right now so anyone can try it. That means PIXEL will have to work in some new stuff for those that download the game. But best of all, this will bring to Cave Story a whole new set of players that might not have heard of the game. Just thinking that makes me happy.
Cave Story is a great game. It’s a game that deserves to be played. Finally, four years after it’s release, it’s getting the attention that it deserves.
Go download it here if you haven’t played it before.
