So where you one of the 60,000 people that downloaded Mega Man 9? That’s right… 60,000 downloads in one day. For an NES game that costs about 10 bucks. Capcom in one day made about $600,000 (although, I’m sure big N gets a cut of that), and that’s just the North American Wii downloads. The game still has to come out on Xbox’s and PS3’s download systems. o_O That’s awesome! In one day Mega Man 9 beat pretty much all the other download amounts for all the other games on WiiWare and Virtual Console.
So what does all this mean? It means that Capcom has totally opened the door for new NES games. I can tell you right now there are other studios working on new NES games wanting a slice of this pie *cough* konami *cough*. Plus, it’s a big incentive to make something like this what with them being cheap and quick to develop (plus no box or cartridge to make or shipping costs). The best part of all this is that people like me that loved playing NES games and feel like they missed out on making games for the system will get a chance to live that dream.
That gets me very excited. I know I’ll be trying to pitch some NES ideas out there with the hopes of one taking off.

It’s two small games(?), one where you can spread the legs of a character named Yoshika Miyafuji from Strike Witches (which I am currently watching and will give a review when I’m done) and in the other game you rub the screen until the character’s cloths fly off. The character being Yuno from Sunshine Sketch. Not much in the way of game play but a lot in the way of making the person next to you on the bus uncomfortable ^_^

Tonight my wife made cornish pasties for supper. Mmmmm super tasty pasty ^_^
The taste reminded of a dinner I had with her parents early in our relationship, but it wasn’t so much the taste of that past dinner but what happened during it that made it memorable. Her parents had made meat pies and we where all sitting and talking at the dinner table. Young me, not thinking, cut in to my pie and took a rather large bite only to instantly remember that said pie had just come out of the oven. So there I am sitting at the dinner table with a salty, meaty magma in my mouth not sure what to do next. I didn’t want to spit it out at the table and I wasn’t yet comfortable with the family to just get up and go get some paper towel to spit in to in another room. I couldn’t even excuse myself to the bathroom because my mouth was full of food.
So I sat there and did my best to choke down the food as quickly as I could and had a drink afterwords. Once dinner was over I went to the bathroom and discovered I had not just burned my mouth but I have scorched it to the point where layers of skin where hanging down from the top of it. My tongue had the strangest texture to it and nothing tasted right for about two weeks. It’s something I’ll never forget.
So yeah… cornish pasties… very tasty, but with it come horrific memories.
Anyone else out there with a 3rd degree burnt mouth story?

Holy crap! Capcom is going to be selling a collectors NES cartridge style case for a CD with official art from the game. Quite possibly the awesomest thing I’ve seen and would look great next to my original NES Mega Man collection.
Also in Mega Man news… a small team of people out there demade Mega Man 7 for the SNES in to a NES game. Holy crap! The whole game can now be played NES style. I’m playing it right now and I love it. My hat go off to the team.
Way back in post.. um… post 107 I think…I talked about a cute DS game where you rise/train a little bear girl at the zoo. It’s super cute and has a cast of other wonderfully designed characters like, a bunny girl, a cheetah girl, cat girl and a very endowed cow girl. Oh yeah ^_^
It’s being developed by VanillaWare and get’s released this week in Japan. I’m going to down load it for sure and try it out on one of those R4 cards and I’ll let you know how it is later. Until then you can travel to the site of the artist for the game and check his art (which I think I saved all of) and even see a new trailer of the game. It looks just awesome and is all hand animated. Beautifully animated I must say too.
I hope like hell this comes out over here. An instant buy for me ^_^

Today I posted a new pic. I found that as I started it I was stumped on what pose to use. I don’t want to get stuck drawing the same poses I do all the time or just the ones that I like. I feel like I need to expand on the poses I draw. I don’t have time to take life drawing classes though, which would really expand and help out. I haven’t taken one since college.
I don’t feel like I’m in a rut at all but I want to make sure I don’t fall in to one. I’ve been doing great this year with my sexy fun drawings, I even have a great project that I’ve been working on that I’m excited to show. But I have to make sure I don’t get too stressed out trying different things. That could bring me down even faster.
Anyway, this latest pic came out pretty good I think. I’m happy with it and I hope blueafternoon likes it too. ^_^
