A Rare Treat

I’ve noticed that some people draw anthro ponies and some draw… pony ponies.  What is your preference?  I think I like both.  Or, at least I’ve seen both versions done very well.  I might have to try the other variety one or twice to see what it’s like.  At the moment, I think I like this version. ^_^

    I like both but prefer anthro ponies a good example of someone who does both well baroncoon on fa. But I still prefer his anthro works.

    I like the pony ponies, but the anthro ponies are growing on me. Your drawings are certainly helping the anthro ponies’ case! Rarity is looking mighty fine! I wonder who is next?

    I prefer the pony pony versions. I dont dislike anthros at all, but i find the “pony pony” to be a more cute shape.

    It’s a tough call as to which type I prefer. Especially since I’ve seen lots of different varieties done well. Though I would say that anything TOO anthro looks out-of-place. I think you struck a good balance. Keeping the overall design, while adding just the hands and changing the posture.

      I agree, that’s why I’ve kept them sort of short in the body. Sort of like how they would be in the show. I also gave them larger fore arms too as to mimic the legs on the show. I’m pretty happy with the design direction I’ve taken them in, but they could still use some refinement.

    I like both and I *really* like Rarity every way she comes but I also really like the way you draw anthro ponies. They have boobs and I like boobs but they also have very pony-ish bodies.

    I love this one.
