Squeaky Clean

Just finished up the newest commission!  I always think it’s fun when people request characters I’ve drawn.  I don’t draw them often (too busy drawing fairies), so it’s nice practice.  I thought this idea was super cute and I loved drawing my doggie girl again.  ^_^

Wow! I really like this piece. Strangely, not because of the characters or what they are doing, but rather because of the colors. Your treatment of the pouring water is wonderful–it going from opaque at the bucket (can’t see doggie girl’s fingers) to translucent at piggie’s rear is just phenomenal. Also, the darker shade of purple representing the interior edges of the pool and the slightly visible at the top (of the pool) legs of the girls totally makes this drawing seem more like a picture. Kudos. I also really like the various muddy ‘hand’-prints around the pool, and the bucket (that shade of pink could only belong to a ‘kiddie’ toy). I really could go on….

Hope someday that you stream your drawing process (with q&a would be preferable) because I love seeing talented people in the process of doing what they are talented at. Hope all is well.
