sore throat

Holy crap… what the hell has Joe been up too? He finished his 366 post thing and then went and disappeared. Actually, I’ve been sick. I caught some sort of viral infection and it knocked me on my ass. I had flu like symptoms for a few days and then my throat got so sore I wanted to shoot myself in the head. It was so bad it would keep me up at night as I laid there and tried to resist my bodies natural urge to swallow. I didn’t want to eat anything and if I had a nap I would wake up in absolute pain from my throat.

It was awful. I’m not so bad now. It’s been reduced to a cough that won’t go away now. At least that’s better then shooting myself in the head.

In other news… I’ve decided to try and learn the Game Maker program. I mean, I can push pixels and make game art… heck… it’s what I do for a living. But I want to try and make some simple games myself. I have ideas that I’d like to try without having a studio get in the way and screw up what I want to do. Plus, even if I suggest an idea to the studio, it becomes their property. I won’t be able to use it at all, so I’d rather try and see what I can do by myself. Nothing complex… just fun. ^_^

I’ll post any good results that I have ^_^

Hope you’re feeling better soon Joe. Thats good advice there. If I ever work for a studio or anyplace that retains intellectual property, I’ll definitely learn to keep my mouth shut at the proper time. I have too many ideas I’d like to keep mine.

Hey! I used a program called rpg maker, the XP version is best in my opinion I use it all the time, sadly I never can think of a proper ending so nothing I made has hit the interwebs yet. Hope you feel better. *spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors included*

I looked at RPGXP Maker on day. It looked really confusing and I couldn’t find a good tutorial so I walked away from it.

One of my favorite indie games was made from it though. Yume Nikki.
