THE JAB ARCHIVES
It's the Halloween season and I'm posting a drawing of a character created and owned by Lou Russo (and used by permission)- Valentina Von Frankenstein, A Hostess of EC style Horror Stories. This is the result of an idea suggested by Lou. (creator and owner) It started out as a simple line art drawing using the style of the three comic strip characters, but then I got the idea to ink it using Jack Davis style crosshatching...which turned out to be a lot harder than anticipated! His style seems deceptively simple, until you actually try to do it and then you realize just how complex his work actually is.
Many Thanks to Lou for letting me play in his sandbox!
The stranded motorists are Count Mitchell, (Dennis the Menace's father) Dagwoodstein, (Blondie's husband) and The Wolf Hi (from Hi & Lois)
