While I have known about this once wonderful character for a long time, it was through Busiek & Perez' late 90's Avengers run that made me a huge fan of this character. She was starting to get over being an introvert and started being more open. After watching the inner turmoil in the Avengers and Cap being bogged down by his own affairs, she would also step up and try her hand at being a leader.

She was strong...she was confident...she was powerful...and she was beautiful.

It's sad that today's comic readers will NEVER get to know THAT character...only the irrational, womb-crazy, hysterical freak that wiped out the mutant population.
