  • Jack Phoenix Manhwa's TJA showcase - June 5th, 2006

here's the thread where you could find all the previews from my new images.

unlucky, I've already had accidents with people showing off my works or bad editings of works made originally by me around the net... which is almost incredible, since I don't have for sure the skills of more talented people, especially some of the ones who post around here

therefore, all my images, from rough to complete, will be marked with a big "preview" sign, because... well, you never know. As long as I continue, like I usually do, to draw doujinshi/parodies, I'll be more and more exposed to the ran-sacking of my stuff

i'll try to make the preview signs the less disturbing possible, and transparent, so that you can make critics without being drifted by the marks.

as usual, feel free to comment where you find more appropriate too, pointing out errors and mistake that almost unavoidably I make, to improve my skills and be more adherent to your tastes.

oh, and I accept commissions too, so feel free to ask some character... I'll always answer to this thread and we'll see what we can do

first post (sorry for double, but the first was made as introduction.)
    --
That's Sam from Totally Spies, enjoying an extreme-same hole double decker. Well, enjoying? Don't know. I was about to make up some balloon to make it seem more credible and linked to the series, but I guess it may stay like it is.

This is only the first rough, so that's all pencil work, with no touch of ink. Let me know whatcha think about it.

    Until next...

looks to me like your about to draw a Sam without a neck... as many have told me, try and make the shoulders a bit less wide and a bit more narrow, im still trying to get used to that since i mostly draw males. your hands could use a bit more work too.
good work, i look foward to some of your stuff... who knows, maybe ive already seen some of it O.O

I also want to point out that her face seems... really round.

Try to get it more of an oval, THEN get that pointed chin, and you should get pretty close. Also, her hair is rather stylized, but very recognizable (that and the redhair thing she has going), so if you can get her hair closer to that, you should hit the mark pretty well.

Oh, and nipples seem *just* a bit too far apart (or, rather, too close to the side of the boob).

        Other than that, pretty cool.

I always fight with the neck . but taking from real pics, I often see that aside a big confusion of skin and muscles, neck ain't visible from the position I made. the raised shoulders, are the result of arms which sustain the weight. in this kind of poses neck is pressed against the shoulders, so that it's almost invisible.

same for shoulders: it may vary from subject to subject. I took as reference a pic where the woman had pretty wide shoulders. It's always the problem to keep the balance between how the true character is and how you wanna custom "her."

          hands...
if you changed "should" with "MUST" it would have been honest

who knows? it might be. but http://otherside-anarchy.tk is the place where you can find from mine.

Well, I know the face oval is too hellish messed up. I was meant to perfection it in a second instance. If you looked good, you have certainly seen that I didn't bother even defining the actual lines for chin and jaw, because I just wanted to take it from the original style and not pulling it out like I'd do (or like.)

another trait I solely sketched... to make it recognizable for a preview, without making you wonder "hey, wth is that?"

the left nipple, as long as I can see, is ok. the right one is a bit too offset, I recognized it too.

well, this is a version of the same drawing. I tried to take all the advices, and here's the new (but still not definitive result)

see if something should be changed again.

I only tried to follow your indications... does it need some more change?

well, it's a luck you can't understand the dialogues. the automatic translator has made me a big favour.

                            Pretty cool pics man,
I aint no experienced artist either but i'm about your level (I hope)
so I can relate to your pics,
The only advice I have is when drawing females NEVER use straight lines!
