I wear glasses.  I’m very happy with them.  I think I look quite nice in the ones I have and I wouldn’t do anything to change that.  Like have corrective laser eye surgery.  I know three people out of my collection of friends that have had the procedure done.  One of them I used to work with and he gave everyone in the studio the low down on what happens during the surgery.  You’re not put under.  It’s not covered under any health plan.  They cut the top layer of your eyeball open like a soup can and correct the lens in your eye with a laser and then close the eyeball back up and it heals it’s self.  Oh, and if any thing goes wrong, they can’t fix it.  So you basically just paid someone to screw with your eyes because there are no refunds.  He had it done and loves it.  Totally worth the money he said.  The other two people I know did not have the same results.

One now has (as I understand it) one blurry vision eye.  One is perfect and the other is out of focus permanently.  I heard that she was told hat they might be able to correct that, but I never heard the result.  It might still be that way.  The other story is where the eyeball lid didn’t heal properly back on to the eye.  Her eye was constantly watering and she couldn’t really see out if it.  This was recently (last week) and I guess she has to go back in next week to see what can be done about that.

God grief, I would never have this done to my eyes.  No way!  Forget it!  Stay the hell away from my eyes!  These are the only ones I have and I will not be having mess with them.  It also makes me kind of sad when I hear that people hate their glasses so much.  I’ve had them since I was 8 and I’m totally fine with them.  On top of that, I think that girls are super cute with glasses.  Thumbs up for geeky girls with glasses!  Hmmm… I just realized that I don’t have any drawing of girls with glasses…

Do you wear glasses and if you do would you have this done to your eyes?

Guh… I’m getting sick.  This sucks.  Pretty much my whole family has been fighting off illness and I guess it’s finally made it’s way around to me.  I don’t feel like I’m going to puke or anything… just tired and achy.  So very tired…. Nothing new to report other then that I’m afraid.  I used to hardly ever get sick… then I got kids.  Now it’s a constant battle to stay well.  Oh well, I still love’em.

Sorry, I’ve got nothing for ya tonight.  But come back tomorrow (Thursday) and I’ll have something fun to show. ^_^

I’m so god damn tired.  I’ve been busting my ass on a freelance job to make some extra money for the deductible that I have to pay since my accident.  After some quick revisions I think it’s okay now, and it’s just waiting for approval.  I’ve been staying up late to get it done.  Usually 1am for the past few days.  Even though I’ve been up far later then I should be, I refuse to pull an all nighter.  I made that decision when I was in college.  A lot of my friends would stay up all night to get projects done.  I never did and I still got all my work done and graduated with honours.  I may have missed out on some fun late night hijinks, but I didn’t think it was worth it to be a wreck the next day.  I prefer to get a little sleep.  I know there where some students that stayed up for 2 or 3 days straight.  They could barely say their name by the time they had to hand in the project.  No sir… not for me.

Have you pulled an all nighter to get work done?

Who watches The Oscars?  I know some people get right in to it.  Throw a big party and enter in bets to see who wins.  I take a passing interest in it.  Not enough to watch.  I’m happy to just hear about the results the next day.  Probably because I don’t watch a lot of movies and even fewer of the nominated movies (I did watch Moneyball though).  Yet, here I am, sitting on the couch doing some freelance work while it’s on.  It’s okay I guess.  It fills the room with noise while I work.

Since our car is in the shop after I bashed it up, we have a loaner van.  We should have it for a week and during that time I’ll have to suffer with the new car smell that is seems to have.  Ugh… I hate new car smell.  It gives me an instant headache.  As soon as I inhale those chemical fumes my head starts to pound.  Also, city transit  has added some new buses to it’s fleet.  So when I take the bus to go to work I have to deal with new bus smell.  Which seems to be almost exactly the same smell.  I know that some people love that brain cell destroying smell, I can’t see how.
