I Don’t Hate Disney

I’ve started reading a book called Disney’s Art of Aniamtion.  It goes through the very beginnings all the way up to Beauty and Beast.  I find it interesting, the flip I’ve done with regards to Disney.  Back in animation classes, most of us sort of turned our noses up at Disney.  Hate the industry leader because they’re the top of the heap.  Then one day, long before I went to Disney World, another artist asked me “Why do you hate Disney so much”?  …  I couldn’t give him an answer.  I tried to think about what reason I might possibly have to hate them, and I couldn’t do it.  I felt like a fool.  It really made me step back and think about my stance on the topic of Disney.  It was about that time that we started to watch more Disney movies at home.  I really started to study the films and pick out the good points and the bad ones too and really understand what they where trying to do with each one.  I think it was after we did go to Disney World that I made a full turn around on my way of thinking.  I really do respect the art they produce, on all levels and the love and joy they bring to all people.  I trained to be in this industry, but I work in games, and I’d be lying if I said there isn’t a part of me the wishes I was in film animation right now.

Happy Zombie Jesus Day!

I hope everyone has a great Zombie Jesus day weekend!  I think I prefer this holiday with sexy bunny girls hiding eggs and chocolate for me to find personally. ^_^

X and Y Concerns

I’m still playing my Pokemon White game.  Trying to catch all that I can between the game and the Pokemon Global Link which allows me to catch even more Pokemon.  But then I got thinking… when X and Y come out… will I be able to send my Pokemon over to that game?  Will I be able to send over the new ones back to White?  Probably not, which kind of sucks since my whole collection is on my White version.  Ugh… I hope this isn’t for naught.  It’s going to suck if I have to start over again and still not have the option to get rare ones, like freak’n Pikachu.  I’m just going to push forward and if I’m lucky it’ll all work out in the end… I hope.  I can’t see Nintendo screwing over players of it’s largest franchise.

Tink Folio Update – Painting in Progress

Lots of people have been asking how the Tinkerbell folio is coming along.  It’s coming along quite fine I think.  I push forward on it when I get time.  It makes me sort of giddy with how well it’s turning out. ^_^

Build-it Yourself Vibrator

I remember putting together a few model cars as a kid.  Never would I have imagined that at some point I would have the option to make a build-it yourself vibrator.

It retails for about $6.68 US, which is a pretty good price.  So I guess if you’re looking a sex toy on a budget and you’ve got some time on your hands, then this might be right up your… um… alley. ^_^  Past the link you’ll see a simple step by step on how to put it together.

Your First Pet

What was your first pet?  Mine was a bunny I bought at the local fair when I was about eight or so.  My mom wasn’t impressed since I bought it with out asking.  Three days later the bunny went back to the farmer and we got my money back.  In my defense, it was my cousin’s idea at the time.  I later got some hamsters, but I quickly found out that I was allergic to them.  It wasn’t until some time later (after college) that we got Beagles, which I found out that I adore.  I ask the pet question because we recently got some gerbils and while they are far from our first pet, the books we’re reading all say they make great first pets.

Maybe you’re someone that’s never had a pet.  Any reason why?  I probably wouldn’t have gotten our Beagle at all if it wasn’t for my wife.  I wasn’t really a pet person at the time.  I’m still reluctant to get a pet now, but I love them all the same once we have them.  Currently, we have a Beagle, some fish and two gerbils.  We’re such a happy family. ^_^
