I am not one. I do know others that are though. I know or have known people that bath after they come home from any place. Refuse to touch public bathroom doors or public transportation hand holds. I don’t remember seeing hand sanitizer everywhere when I was a kid. When did we become a society with this fear to touch things or what others might have? Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not mocking those that have a sensitivity to these situations. I’m sure they’re far cleaner then I and are sick way less then me. I just wonder how we, or they, got to be this way. I’m not concerned about what I might touch or catch when I’m out side of the house. I’m not licking the bus seats and I’m not sneezing in to my hand and then shaking others. But it’s not a concern for me. I think I place most blame on the media for it’s fear mongering.
Are you concerned about touching things when you’re out of your house?

This past weekend the Hodare Festival was celebrated in Niigata Japan. If you’ve never heard of this, let me bring you up to speed. It’s a fertility festival that dates back to the 17th century and done to help fertility and bring good marriage to new couples by touching a giant wooden penis. Did I not mention that yet? Sorry, guess I should have mentioned that first.

So today we broke out the BBQ for the first steaks of the season. I know that some of you BBQ all year long, but in our house it gets put away for the winter. Which is kind of good because then you really can’t wait to bring it out again when it gets nice out. Today as we where walking our Beagle we could smell others coking on their BBQ’s. It smelled so good my wife said we should bring ours out too. So once we got home I wheeled it out and cleaned her up. We where also lucky that we still had some propane left in the tank. Yup, it was a pretty good beginning of March Break… except for the damn Day Light Saving thing… I hate you so much…

I just got done watching Crazy Stupid Love with my wife. It was a pretty good movie and we both enjoyed it, but that’s not what this post is about. It’s about talking to girls.
In the movie there is this character that is one of those smooth talking guys that can easily talk to women. He could talk to any women in a room and end up with her in his bed. Amazing. I know that he’s only a character in a movie but I do know there are people out there that can do this. They are able to talk to the opposite sex with such ease and confidence that it boggles the mind. I was never the type to find it easy to talk to girls. I do remember some words that a friend of mine gave me when it comes to talking to women. He said “On a 1 to 10 scale, if you think you’re a 3, you’ll only ever get a 3.”
My wife always finds it strange that guys have such a hard time talking to women. She said that it’s all about confidence. If you walk up and are all wishy washy, you’ll never get what you want. But if you talk with total confidence, then you’ll stand a good chance at getting that lady you had your eye on.
Any smooth talkers out there with the opposite sex?

The thing I’m questioned the most on is if I take commissions. The answer to that is no… not until I put the call out. Long ago I would take several commissions on and do them one after another, but that proved to be a disaster with people waiting far to long to get their picture done. So I only take them one at a time. It’s far better for you, the customer, and better for me too.
If you get a commission this is what you can expect to get.
- A sheet of rough poses to pick from.
- A larger rough picture to iron out the details.
- Clean line drawing before colour is applied.
- Final painted picture.
- Large 300 dpi version for printing.
All commissions are done digitally. I used to do actual paper and pencil commissions, but the digital ones get done so much faster. The time frame for getting a picture done is about two weeks, but it can be faster or slower. It really depends on how fast you get back to me on approvals and such. It also depends on the amount of fixes and changes asked for. I understand that it’s your money and so you deserve to ask for adjustments, but too many can take the wind out of the sails and just make things frustrating.
As for what I’ll draw… that all depends. I’ll draw pretty much anything really. The best thing to do is just ask and I’ll tell you what’s cool or not. If you want a short list though, I won’t draw any violence, blood, rape or poo.
The monetary damage for what I do is as follows.
- $40 – One colour character with a simple background.
- +$20 – for an extra character. (2 max)
- +$20 – for detailed background.
Paypal is fine for the payment and drawing started once payment has been received.
There is another way to get art done by me. I used to trade art for games. What I mean by that is if you’re able to find a video game I’m looking for, I’ll do a drawing for you. One character drawing with a background or a two character pic with a simple background. That means if you can find a used game for $20 bucks, you’ll find yourself a great deal for art. Some of the games I’m looking for are.
- Metriod 3 Corruption (Wii)
- Mega Man 10 (Wii Ware)
- Solatorobo (DS)
- Okami Den (DS)
- Pokemon Black or White
- Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
- Super Mario 3D (3DS)
- Resident Evil Revelations (3DS)
- Metal Gear Solid (3DS)
I’ve done this sort of deal in the past a few times and everyone comes out happy for sure. If you think you’d like to try this for payment, contact me so we can work something out.
I also reserve the right to post or not any commissions done. You can ask if you wish and I’m a pretty easy going guy but just remember that I can decline your request. So I think that covers everything. Most commissions have been fantastic and lot of fun do to. Follow the rules and I’m sure we can have a great commission relationship too! I’ll probably make this a special page and put it at the top in case anyone has questions later on. ^_^

The other day I was getting rid of a few things laying around the house. One of those things was the kids Valentines Day cards. I just picked up this Tinkerbell one and my thumb just happened to fall in to the “right” place. Oh my! I love that Disney markets Tink as one a sexy little number. ^_^
