Thought I’d show off a little something I’ve been working on. So I made that Random pixel post a while back and it got me wanting to do more of it. So I started working on something a little different. See, I love GameBoy games. If I could make one I would in a heart beat. Having worked in mobile games all my life, I now love having graphical limits put on me. I find that I am my most creative when I have only very little to work with. I makes me think differently in order to create an awesome final result.
Anyway, I thought about how much fun it would be to have Random Squirrel have her own GameBoy Game. I picture a isometric detective game where you have to gather clues and talk to people to gather info so solve a case. What with her being a courtroom stenographer, I’m sure she’d loves get hands messy in some amateur detective work. I’m sure she has her ways to get info from people (wink, wink).
I only did a few fake screen shots, but I think I’ll do up some more since they where so much fun to do.
Someone just passed this to me and I thought it was pretty interesting and worth a posting. I like this info graphic type things. They’re fun and informative. I’m not sure how accurate the info is in these things, but at most they’re good for some discussion on the validity of the facts at hand.

Pro Cycling is getting a new mascot to help drum up more interest in the sport. Her name is Pist-Star, but I think the only thing people will be interested in is her huge boobs. I honestly don’t see how this character links up with Pro Cycling in anyway (other then wheel thing in here hair… maybe) and I think she’s a poor design over all. I think a cute sporty looking girl would have been much better then a transforming school girl… but what do I know. I do think it’s funny how they’re totally not shy about her huge boobs at all in the clip. Well, they say sex can sell anything… I hope sex is up to the challenge of Japanese Pro Cycling. ^_^
I’m a bad tipper. I always let my wife decide how much to leave when it’s time to tip. I’ll leave nothing and not feel bad about that. It’s not because I thought my server was bad, I just don’t feel like I need to leave a tip. I know that servers make less then minimum wage and that they live off of tips, I understand all of that. And I know that if I was in that situation I would want people to leave me tips for a job well done. But even after all of that… I still don’t like the “you have to leave a tip” attitude that people give me. No, I don’t… Does that make me a jerk? I am getting better with tipping. I don’t always tip as much as I should, which is why I let my wife take care of that. I have no problems with the tips she leaves, I just couldn’t do it myself.
So this day marks the 3DS’s first birthday. It’s been a rough year for the portable what with slow to start sales, the e-store late to the party and a not so great game line up fr most of the year. So how do I feel about my own 3DS? Well, I still only own one game for it, Super Street Fighter 4, but I’ve been super happy with my purchase. I bought it when it was crazy expensive which kind of sucks, but I really love having the 20 free games Nintendo offered after the price drop. I play the NES games when I can only get a few moments of game time and the GBA titles in between DS games. I say in between DS games because I use my 3DS to play those titles mostly. Although I have downloaded a few games like Cave Story and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge plus any demo I can.
Before the 3DS all I used was my DS. That’s regular DS. Not a Lite, the old DS Phat, so I was about due. I’m not sorry about buying it early. Heck, I use the thing every day! I check my Nintendo Video and Swap Notes. I love getting Street Passes and trying for new hats for my Mii or puzzle pieces. I know others that bought one that are not happy with it and I can understand why. But for me… I love it. Maybe one day I’ll buy a new 3DS game for it. ^_^
Let’s play pretend for a moment and imagine that you just won the lottery. Holy crap!!! You’re a millionaire!!! 16 million dollars for those looking for a more exact amount. What are some of the things that you might do? I know first off we would pay off all our debt. Next, we would give amounts of money to family or pay for things that they really need. Like a new car or pay off a mortgage. After that we would renovate the house and update all the things we’ve been wanting to. I’m sure after that we’d buy ourselves things that we’ve been wanting and probably go on a vacation or two. Finally, we would save a bunch for later and make some donations to special causes that we would like to support. I think that would just about cover it. Maybe I’d start up my own game studio too.
Do you know anyone that’s won a large amount in a lottery? I know some that have won smaller amounts. Like $10,000 or so. The money goes fast regardless how much though if you’re not watching it. I’d be afraid that we’d blow through it so I’d make sure we keep a close eye on it. I’d want to make sure that there is lots to live off of when I’m old and can’t draw anymore.
